I’ve been changing my oil and filter since I was sixteen. I’ve always used Castrol GTX motor oil, but I’ve switched around on brands of filters. I’ve used cheaper ones from Fram and more expensive ones too. But after a visit to bobistheoilguy.com , I realized that you can get a mid-priced filter with all the components of high end filters. I’m talking about the Purolater One(formerly PureOne) filter. It uses metal end caps instead of cardboard and a high end filter media. The great thing is, it only costs a couple bucks more than the cheapies, while performing like the expensive guys. Try it out!
